How to Put All Your Facebook Pictures on Private

While you can set the permissions for all of your albums on your Facebook profile so that only you can see the images, you can't hide your profile image or your cover photo because Facebook always displays these images publicly. In addition, while you can change the privacy setting for entire albums created using the Facebook website, albums you've uploaded using your mobile phone or a third-party application usually require you to modify the privacy settings for each individual photo.

Sign in to your Facebook account, and then click the "Photos" link in the Favorites sidebar.

Click the "Albums" tab.

Select the Audience Selector tool for the photo album you want to make private. If you see the message, "You Can Change the Audience for Each Photo in This Album," you must manually set the permissions for each photo. Click the album's thumbnail, and then click the photo you want to make private.

Select "Only Me" from the Audience Selector tool's list of options.
