Students applying for admission to the University of Texas must submit scores from the SAT or the ACT. While no required minimum score is listed on the university's "How to Apply for Admission" web page, the UT site indicates that the average SAT for new summer and fall students in 2012 was 1841.
In 2012 the mid-50 percent range for UT SAT scores was 1675 to 2020. This data means that 75 percent of students admitted scored at or above 1675, while 25 percent scored at or above 2020. Engineering entrants had the highest college program average at 2025. Business students were second at 1968. Architecture and geosciences students also had averages above 1900.
